We encourage young people to Create change.
Teach them to take realistic action, be creative, innovative,
develop digital skills, offer strong experience to the participants’ development,
through music benefits to each personality and an impact to local community.
The Create Change project brings together young musicians and youth workers from Slovakia, Germany, and Greece to use the power of music to raise environmental awareness and promote sustainability. By combining international and local activities with online learning, the project empowers participants to create meaningful change while building essential skills for their future.
The project kicked off in April 2023 with a meeting in Nitra, Slovakia, where participants and partners laid the foundation by discussing goals, steps, and key activities. The first international mobility took place in July 2024 in Kryoneri Korinthias, Greece, where participants began
composing songs on environmental themes and connected through shared creativity. Between mobilities, participants continued working in their home countries, creating songs inspired by their local environment and community challenges. To support their efforts, three online
workshops were held on songwriting, home recording, and fundraising, equipping them with the tools needed for impactful music production.
Currently, the project is unfolding in Berlin, Germany, where participants from the three countries are collaborating to compose, record, and perform original songs focused on sustainability. They are also visiting local music centers to learn about eco-friendly event management and “green music” practices. By blending creativity, environmental advocacy, and skill-building, Create Change inspires young people to think globally and act locally. The project is not just about music; it’s about creating a legacy of positive change and sustainability for the future.
